Cash Money Records co-CEOs and founders Ronald “Slim” Williams and Bryan “Birdman” Williams are proud to welcome Australian based DJ and production duo, the Stafford Brothers, to the Cash Money Records and YMCMB family. One of the fastest growing phenomena in the global dance music scene, the Stafford Brothers are the first ever electronic music act to sign with Cash Money Records. This unprecedented move further accentuates the Stafford Brothers’ growing presence as internationally recognized tastemakers.
Known for their passionate, high voltage live shows and absolutely stellar productions, the Stafford Brothers have emerged as one of the top dance acts, performing all around the world. As recent Los Angeles transplants, the brothers have taken the US by storm with their infectious music, energetic stage presence, and vibrant personalities. Their keen sense of style and cutting-edge musical taste has allowed them to secure major residencies at premier EDM hotspots Marquee (Las Vegas), Playhouse (Hollywood), Voyeur (San Diego), and Lavo (New York).
Furthermore, the brothers have been hard at work in their Hollywood Hills studio remixing everybody from Krewella to The Cataracs, as well as producing a number of Stafford Brothers originals that are set for release in the near future. In addition to producing the outstanding anthem for the world famous Future Music Festival, the brothers have teamed up with fellow Aussie’s, NERVO, to create the festival’s impressive compilation. The Future Music Mix Compilation, which will be released on Friday (December 14th), takes listeners on a musical journey through a carefully curated mix that’s filled with special blends and notable bangers. The Stafford Brothers show no signs of slowing down as they continue on their promising path to fame in 2013.
“The Stafford Brothers blew me away with their energy, superb production skills and strong remixes,” says Bryan “Birdman” Williams, who co-founded Cash Money Records alongside his brother, Ronald “Slim” Williams. “Their music may have a party vibe, but that didn’t fool Slim and I. With their ownership of nightclubs, their own reality television show, international tours and dedication to their craft, we knew the Stafford Brothers were serious and would fit right in with the hardworking YMCMB family.”
Stafford Brothers came to Cash Money Records through a dance music joint venture with CHM. Nima Nasseri of CHM will be spearheading the Stafford Brothers project.
Says Nima, “Cash Money Records is a brand that is synonymous with success in the pop culture landscape and we’re excited to build a new venture between CHM and Cash Money with the Stafford Brothers, leading the way in this new era of commercial dance music.”
Moving forward, fans can expect new music and collaborations from the Stafford Brothers later this month and into early 2013. Their first single for Cash Money Records will be “Hello”, a bombastic house track featuring label-mates Lil Wayne and Christina Milian. “Hello” is produced by The City and co produced by the Stafford Brothers.
