The thought-provoking first lady of techno Miss Kittin returns with the single “Life Is My Teacher” which will be made available as a free download on www.misskittin.com (soundcloud below)starting December 10, 2012. The song offers up a glimpse of Kittin’s third album, the self-produced double-CD “Calling From The Stars”, to be released on wSphere Records on April 22, 2013.
“Life Is My Teacher” offers up all of the elements that have made Miss Kittin one of the most popular names in electronic music: simple yet evocative lyrics set to an undeniable electro-flavored techno beat. It also showcases a new side of the notoriously enigmatic Kittin, that of an artist unafraid to reveal her inner emotions and beliefs. The perfect primer for the evolved techno-pop sound that makes up disc one of the album.
Eager fans will also be treated to three more new tracks on the “Life Is My Teacher” EP, including exclusive cut “I.L.A.N.E.N.O.” and “Tamarin Bay”, both of which reflect the album’s second disc of ’90s-inspired ambient techno. DJs, meanwhile, will flock to the dark narcotic remix of “Life Is My Teacher” from Spanish hit-making duo Borderline. The EP will be available on all digital platforms on December 10, 2012.

Model 500’s influence on music arguably looms larger today then ever before, with a fresh wave of fascination coming from a new generation of electronic musicians and fans alike, who’s lust for the innovative, original sounds of the first wave of Detroit Techno knows no bounds.
OFI has already received the remix treatment from two big guns of the R&S stable, Space Dimension Controller and Bullion, who both applied their unique touches to the original in the 2010 remix release, and now it’s the turn of Apollo – with five new mixes coming from Sei A, Shadowchild, Synkro, Indigo and Colonel Red respectively.
First up on the EP is the Sei A mix, in which the Glaswegian producer slows the original down to a cosmic funeral march and twists the rhythm into a futuristic piece of R&B tinged deep house, stripping things down to a simple, hypnotic rhythm track that drives along on it’s own minimal path for over seven minutes of perfectly pitched late night dancefloor action.
Arnaud Rebotini is back. Just in time for Halloween the Black Strobe mainman, the undisputed master of industrial tinged icey techno, frozen balearic gay biker house and much more besides, is releasing the ‘Pagan Dance Move’ EP on The Hacker & Gesaffelstein’s Zone Records.
Complete with remixes from Crackboy and David Carretta, ‘Pagan Dance Move’ is a thing of beautifully dark throbbing menace that oozes out of the speakers like the unholy oil of some hexed terminator.

2012 has undoubtedly been Jack Beats most prolific and prominent year to date. Their Beyoncé remix is still turning heads, they’ve just released the first mini LP ‘Careless’ and the dust hasn’t yet settled on their headline UK tour. Never ones to rest on their laurels, they’ve lined up something rather special ahead of the release of mini LP no.2 – ‘Somebody To Love’.
Progressions sums up the combined parts of both mini albums, resulting in 35 minutes of un-interrupted Jack Beats heat; “The aim of this mix was to produce something a little more special than your average mixtape. It’s a full album length body of original work, summing the best of our last 2 years in the studio”.
Featuring every track off both Careless and Somebody To Love, this is the only place you can hear tracks likeAbout To Get Fresh (Ft Chiddy Bang and OV) and Storm (feat Kid Harpoon) ahead of the release of the mini LP Somebody To Love on 9th December.
As if that wasn’t enough ‘Jack Beats Presents’ returns to FABRIC London on Friday 7th December, and they’ve bought someone rather special along for the ride. Fatboy Slim will be stepping up to the turntables, for his first London DJ set since he rocked up to Stratford straddling a giant purple octopus. This is a rare chance to see him in a club setting, and with the likes of Redlight, Doorly & Shadow Child also on the bill, this night is not to be missed.
If you’re stateside don’t fear, you can check Jack Beats on their mammoth US Tour including Owsla dates and a main slot at Hard ‘Day Of The Dead’ Festival! Check out the dates HERE
